28 Oct 2009 8ak: Just this month nuclear power plants have been confirmed in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and land acquisition is on for the project in Maharashtra. Now the Government of India via NPCIL has approved a site in Haryana. One of the issues that the government has to look at is pending water shortage issues in these states that will effect the running on the plants.
Punjab news: Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda disclosed that the Government of India has accorded in-principle approval to the Kumharia site in district Fatehabad for setting up of a nuclear power project in Haryana.
