Naval modernisation includes own satellite and a maritime security agency

26 Oct 2009 8ak: Re-iterating the commitment to modernise the Indian Navy, defence minister A. K. Antony has said that he is personally monitoring the proposal to set up a maritime security agency, that the Navy was working out Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in case of terrorist attacks and that the Navy will have its own communications satellite next year.
